EI-NOT project implementation activities
EI-NOT project implementation activities are going on well. In September were organised a lot of activities in all the 6 schools, where FSASAH and SPASH are focussed, starting with both schools in Elbasan and then in Korca and Tirana, (Bathore). Both chairmen, Dobrushi and Kruja, took part in all those meetings. The representative of Ministry of Education and Science Mr. Fatmir Bezati took part in the meeting of Child Labour Monitoring Committee, which was organised in the Ministry, because of the situation afetr the illegimate expulsion of trade unions from their offices in Tirana, and the representatives of the local educational directorates took part in some meetings organised with teachers in the schools.

Two were the main points discussed in these meetings:
1. The situation regarding concrete work which is under the way with the selected pupils. Teachers reported that, based on the problems raised in questionnaires filled in before summer holidays, they are working with the respective pupils in their schools and will continue to work, not only in the schools, in collaboration with their colleagues,
especially those who are responsible for monitoring the classes, but also outside the schools, with parents and other stakeholders engaged in child labour prevention and elimination. They were asked to write short stories about their work with pupils and the results, which will be taken into consideration, not only by their colleagues in their schools, but also in other schools of their respective districts and wider.
Some good examples were already shown in “Ptoleme Xhuvani” school in Elbasan, in Bathore 1, school in Tirana and in Liqenas School in Korca, where some pupils are attending more regularly the school and have better results in learning.
2. Preparation of the next activities planned to be organised in the respective schools. The most important among them are the sportive and cultural activities planned to be organised in Elbasan on 22 October, in Korca, on 23 October and in Tirana, (Bathore), on 24 October. After concrete discussions, we agreed them to be organised in the form of competitions between the two schools of each district, with participation of all the selected pupils, also including some others, especially in Bathore, where all the selected pupils are girls, planning at least three sportive and three cultural activities and organising a cocktail where the winners will be symbolically prized. Special working groups were established to follow by near all the preparations, where all the teachers of the respective schools are involved. Chairmen of FSASH and SPASH, representatives from educational directorates, local media etc. are expected to be present in these activities.

It was also discussed about the preparations for the Round Table planned for 14 December, where discussions will be made and conclusions will be drawn on the work done, elaborating a follow up program for the future. The first opinion is to organise it in Tirana, because of the facilities and the possibility to have the participation of representatives form the Ministry of Education and Science, as well as from other institutions, media and so on.
It is important and effective the fact that in all of these three districts FSASH and SPASH are also working in child labour prevention and elimination, in the framework of the FNV Project implementation, which is another factor that this work will continue also after the EI project finishing.
The minister of Education and Science, being informed about all of this work done and planed to be done, by both chairmen of FSASH/SPASH in a meeting they had some days ago with him, appreciated the engagement and results of the education trade unions and promised more support, also regarding some other problems raised during the participation in meetings with teachers in these schools.
Information about these activities are also published in fsash/spash website and in the Magazine “Tribuna Sindikale”.
